The Senior Program Manager for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for leading fast paced cross functional teams to deliver new products aligned with strategic business priorities.
This position is part of the Clinical Chemistry and Immunoassay Business Unit located in Chaska, Minnesota and will be a HYBRID role. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be a part of the Immunoassay Program Management team and report to the Director of Program Management responsible for delivering strategic projects to meet business needs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Lead high visibility programs utilizing your experience and the Danaher Business System (DBS) tools to maximize efficiency and quality for critical-to-the-business product launches, communicate budget, schedule, resources, and performance to QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) metrics for the programs you lead.
Maintain continuous alignment of program scope with strategic business objectives and utilize advanced skills in leadership, communication, influence, cross-cultural awareness, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
Lead new ventures within immunoassay team by building and adapting new processes to meet evolving business needs. Appetite and aptitude for leading through ambiguity.
Work cross-functionally and collaborate frequently with Manufacturing, Engineering, Research and Development, Quality, Regulatory and Marketing, and other functional groups to ensure on time delivery and to work to continually optimize processes for more efficient product development.
Make or facilitate project trade-off decisions within the boundaries of the approved project contract. Strategize with Business Unit management to define, support, and implement functional infrastructure to support the needs of the business globally.
The essential requirements of the job include
Bachelor's degree in Life Science, business management or related field with preference for 14 plus years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 12+ years' experience or Doctoral degree with 9+ years' experience
Prefer 5 years of related work experience in scientific or engineering field; Prefer a minimum of 2-5 years in program or project management.
Strong motivational leadership and executive communication skills with the ability to influence others without direct authority.
Experience delivering product in regulated markets (RUO, IVD, IVDR)
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Project management Professional (PMP) certification or similar certification
Technical knowledge of Immunoassay chemistries.
Experience with product commercialization efforts
