The Development Senior Technician for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics will be responsible for completing assignments requiring independent thought, judgment, and initiative. Individual should require a limited degree of supervision for routine work and general instructions, with supervision, on new assignments. Individual should be able to assists in developing new techniques and procedures that lead to greater departmental efficiency. All work must also meet regulatory requirements and follow company policies and procedures
This position is part of the Clinical Chemistry & Immunoassay Research and Development Department located in Chaska, Minnesota and will be on-site. Teams in this department work together to integrate customer needs into the development process.
You will be a part of the Reagent Chemistry group and report to the Manager – Development Science responsible for development of immunoassays and reagents. If you thrive in a fast-paced role and want to work to build a world-class R&D organization—read on!
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Perform sample screening, processing, preparation, and organization of drawn and purchased samples.
Coordination of blood draws, including but not limited to donor registry, phlebotomy scheduling, and sample processing.
Participate in departmental operations support including material inventory tracking, instrument maintenance, and general laboratory operation and maintenance.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Associate’s degree in the life sciences (e.g., chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, or medical-related sciences) with 3 years of experience.
Written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels and across different cultures.
Relevant experience and organization skills to help in the planning and independent execution of activities; ability to multi-task and complete unrelated process steps in a single day.
It would be a plus if you also possess:
- Experience working in a laboratory setting, EHS, regulated environment
