The Sr Systems Engineer V&V Lead is responsible for development of the next generation of automated immunoassay test instruments and support of the current product line within the systems integration team. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to be a part of a rapidly growing industry working on the cutting edge of medical diagnostic technologies in a research and development environment.
This position will be located in Chaska (Minneapolis), MN. We are pleased to offer a hybrid work environment with a mix of on-site and remote days depending on business needs. You will be a part of the R&D Hardware team and report to the Manager, Systems Integration. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Apply system engineering knowledge and lead system verification & validation (V&V) within technical, schedule and cost constraints
Oversee all activities and deliverables necessary for successful system design V&V
Perform system testing (characterization, verification, and validation) of new features or requirements
Create and execute systems characterization and verification protocols
Define, manage, and deploy the verification strategy for immunoassay systems
Identify process improvements and develop standard methodologies
Lead and coordinate system verification activities in a multi-functional environment (R&D, QA, RA etc.)
Be responsible for V&V Resource/Supply management and instrument configuration management
Be responsible for Ontime Delivery KPI Metrics
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience
Meaningful experience in clinical, research or diagnostic setting with knowledge of immunoassay development
Candidates must have extensive knowledge of good laboratory practices and scientific methods
Ability to detail work per ISO9000/FDA regulation; including materials, methods, and conclusions
Knowledge of laboratory automation, system software, Microsoft applications, and laboratory statistics is essential
Excellent communication skills
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Experience working with virtual machines is a plus
