As the Staff Project Manager NPD, you’ll actively participate in the development of new products, collaborating with Senior Staff Project Management to ensure compatibility with current and future manufacturing processes and capabilities.
Together, you’ll lead and coordinate operations-related activities required for the transfer of new products to routine production such as daily management, pilot lot builds, production scale-up, process development/optimization, technology transfer, process validation, test method validation, and costing.
You’ll also partner with R&D team to assess manufacturability throughout the Innovation Development Process of new immunoassay reagent products and conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) review meetings routinely. Other responsibilities include serve as a technical liaison for other departments with regards to new product introduction activities, i.e. bill of materials, reference material, reagent formulation, and standard operating procedures.
You will be an integral part of the New Product Development Operations and report to the Sr Manager. This will be a Hybrid role located within driving distance of Chaska, MN

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Develop and maintain production documentation
Apply technical knowledge to troubleshoot assay design challenges encountered during the course of assay development, clinical validation, or manufacturing validation.
Maintain substantial and current knowledge of validation and process control requirements
Build action plans and optimally delegate tasks to cross-functional team members
Experience delegating work to others or familiarity with managing direct reports
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of related work experience OR, Master’s with 7+ years OR, Doctoral degree with 4+ years of related work experience
Experience owning bowler metrics and lean concepts, i.e. daily visual management, Gemba, etc.
Experience in crafting standard work and improving processes
Experience in project management through leading a cross-functional team
Experience with Quality System Regulations, Oracle and EDMS, and supply chain management
It’s a plus if you also have:
Bachelor’s degree Chemistry, Biochemistry or Life Science
Experience in immunoassay, medical device, or diagnostics development
Familiarity working cross-site
