Danaher Corporation Technician Production Operations - Monday-Thursday - 4:00pm to 2:30am + Generous Sign on Bonus in Chaska, Minnesota

Days and hours: 2nd Shift - Monday-Thursday - 4:00pm to 2:30am


Our manufacturing company is seeking a team member to join our technician team. Work/responsibilities regularly span multiple job families within this job group. Maintains and works in a safe, reliable, cost effective manufacturing operation to produce the required product volumes, with full regard for health, safety and stakeholder concerns.

The main responsibilities include: installing, maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting all mechanical, hydraulic, electric equipment and instrumentation.

Work Hours are Monday-Thursday 4:00pm to 2:30am with occasional opportunities for overtime

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with Manufacturing Technicians, Engineering, and Quality to troubleshoot and determine corrective actions for issues occurring in test and assembly

  • Troubleshoot and maintain Manufacturing Test Boxes

  • Support Microsoft tablets used to support production documentation and processes

  • Maintain work cells, equipment calibrations, and maintenance

  • Assist engineers in various technical aspects of problem solving on escalated issues and kaizens

  • Work with tools and machines to create simple fixtures as per the instructions of the engineers

  • Actively provide ideas and feedback to support process, product, and organizational improvement initiatives (continuous improvement)

  • Support and perform production activities as needed

  • Identify and recommend quality improvements including but not limited to production methods, equipment performance, product quality and efficiencies

  • Learn and participate in the company's lean manufacturing principles

  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

Working Conditions

Our facilities are a heated, air-conditioned and humidity-controlled production floor and /or clean room environment. Our buildings are modern, with employee accessible WiFi, dedicated break, quiet, and collaborative spaces, and an on-campus cafeteria. We hold several employee appreciation events throughout the year. Our campus is located on Lake Hazeltine with walking trails between buildings. Our location is convenient to central Chaska and Chanhassen shops and restaurants, and we are a 25-minute drive from downtown Minneapolis.

  • AA degree (electrical or mechanical background preferred) or equivalent with 1+ years’ experience

  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, MS Project, Excel, Power point)

  • Capable of performing and documenting test results using good documentation practices for a variety of business needs (customer complaints, feasibility studies, characterization, verification, validation etc).

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced self-directed environment

  • Strong mechanical aptitude

  • Agile learner, comfortable learning to work on electro-mechanical automated test equipment
