Danaher Corporation Cell Culture Technologies Sales Specialist, Midwest in Chicago, Illinois
Pall is seeking a Sales Specialist in the Midwest Region to sell Pall’s AllegroTM Cell Culture Technologies, including single-use bioreactors, microcarriers, and process development services. Reporting to the Director of Sales, for Cell Culture Technologies in the Americas, this position is the sales leader in the region for the cell culture product lines. This dedicated technology-focused Sales Specialist will, with the other members of Pall’s sales team, be responsible for the establishment of Pall as a leading supplier to the Life Sciences Cell Culture market.
In particular this position requires working in symphony with Account Managers to achieve cell culture technology revenue goals. This position requires a self-starter with excellent communication and people skills, who can build and nurture successful long term customer relationships. The successful candidate must be able to set and achieve bold sales and profitability goals, multi-task, travel extensively, forecast accurately and provide creative input.

Overall responsibility for Midwest sales of Pall’s AllegroTM Cell Culture Technologies including the Xpansion, iCELLis, PAD, XRS, and STR systems, Process Development Services, and SoloHill Microcarriers and Contract Services. Key target markets include Biotherapeutics, Vaccines, Gene Therapy, and Cell Therapy.
Develop, set and achieve sales and profitability targets in the defined sales region;
Collaborate with Account Managers, Product Managers, Applications Scientists, Customer Service and the Management team to attain and exceed goals;
Analyze and articulate customer and market needs, developing relationships with new accounts and existing customers and managing customer accounts to drive market growth;
Implement sales plans based on the voice of the customer, market knowledge, company goals, and overall business performance criteria.
Prepare, track, and present sales projections and forecasts of AllegroTM cell culture sales within the defined region, including budget planning for the following fiscal years;
Work with other members of the Pall sales and management teams to attain agreed upon goals
Travel as required. Occasional international travel may be required.
Bachelor’s Degree in a Life Science subject or comparable work experience
Sales experience and a confirmed successful track record of selling disposable products and cell culture systems into the US Biopharmaceutical industry preferred but not required;
Excellent technical presentation skills
Experience with cell culture process development and/or manufacturing is preferred
Understanding of bioprocessing
Extensive contacts within the industry in the given region
Solid working experience with MS Office and a CRM database (SFDC, Oracle, etc.).
