The Commercial Product Manager for Pharma/Companion Diagnostics will be responsible for the development, launch and on market life cycle management of advanced staining products associated with our Pharma partners for companion diagnostics purposes. This role supports the CDx team by demonstrating a firm understanding of and responsibility for Leica Biosystems’ capability to successfully commercialize these high value assays. In this role, this person will interface directly with Sales and Marketing to ensure targets are achieved for commercialized assays. In addition, they will also work proactively with the CDx Business Development team to identify new opportunities for growth and solicit strategic relationships with Pharma partners.
All the responsibilities we will trust you with:
Primary responsibility for revenue achievement of launched products
Lead products throughout their lifecycle ensuring continuing commercial success of new products and pruning of old products
Develop and execute launch plans via the LEx (Launch Excellence) process, including but not limited to the following: Evidence, Tools, Training/Support/Education (CME), Coordinate pre-market with support of MedSci affairs, Conferences, Post-market surveillance/support/adjustments as needed, Regional market expansions, Ad hoc work with Innovations on potential new product/technology opportunities to aid in the LBS portfolio competitiveness specifically in the Pharma space
Work with R&D on new product development according to the PLE process-Define CDx products Product User needs and Product requirements for potential Pharma partners in relationship to the development process - from initial inception to early product development
Handle the User needs and ensure the products' scope remains intact throughout the Development process
Support development and delivery pitch of commercial capabilities to potential Pharma partners as needed
Support and/or lead commercialization efforts for other high value products (i.e. Class II/III, new technologies) through LEx
Monitor market and maintain biomarker funnel through collaboration with other product managers to ensure appropriately prioritized in MPL/RRM
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matters most for this role:
Graduate or post-graduate qualifications in business or related discipline.
Graduate or post-graduate qualifications in science (Medical Science or Biology).
Minimum 5 years Medical Diagnostics Sales and / or Marketing experience
Sales Management experience preferred
Innate commercial acumen of the Anatomic Pathology Diagnostics space preferred
Experience in Biomedical industry, Medical Device or Cancer Diagnostics industry preferred
MBA level business skills preferred
