Job Title: Global Pricing and Discount Leader
Location: USA, Remote
The Global Pricing and Discount Leader will be responsible for formulating and executing price setting and discount optimization strategies to ensure profitable growth.
The candidate will ensure accurate pricing information is available for all commercial teams and across all information technology systems worldwide, including ERP, CRM, CPQ, eCommerce and Business Intelligence.
The Global Pricing and Discount Leader will govern processes and policies that derive the country list prices from the global reference price and enable sales leaders to install special pricing offerings. This leader will collaborate closely with other leaders from Sales, Service, Marketing, and Finance, provide analytical insights, and recommend process and system changes to ensure profitable growth in the regions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Governs all global pricing processes that derive local list prices from the global reference price for all products sold worldwide (including regional uplift factors and foreign exchange rates)
Sets up and maintains price data for worldwide IDT Subsidiaries and Distributors through connected ERP systems and collaborates with local pricing leaders to ensure alignment in other ERP systems
Ensures local list prices and applicable discounts are available for all commercial teams in all related IT systems (CRM Systems, Quoting Systems, eCommerce, Business Intelligence Tools)
Governs and develops the processes and systems that allow sales leaders to grant special pricing offerings (customer-specific pricelists, discount agreements, custom payment and shipping terms) to contracted customers.
Governs the processes to ensure that the authority for price and discount approval is in accordance with the Danaher Delegation of Authority and supports the goals of the commercial teams to achieve and sustain profitable growth
Leads the process of recommending the overall annual price adjustment and collaborates with Executives from Marketing, Sales, Operations and Finance to ensure alignment
Consults with Finance leaders to maintain intercompany prices in all IT systems
Ensures accuracy of price information by identifying deviation, understanding root causes and applying countermeasures
Identifies training needs for pricing stakeholders worldwide; develops and provides training resources
Closely collaborates with internal and external IT consultants to maintain, improve and adjust IT systems
Uses DBS tools to continuously improve internal processes and to foster process adherence, enables change and shares best practices.
A minimum of 5 years of successful experience in an analytical commercial role
Experience in ERP systems like and reporting systems like Power BI
Experience in Business intelligence tools and/or reporting software applications
Experience in Salesforce.com or other CRM
