The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) team works directly with named customers to provide technical input that ultimately allows the customer to design their end-product. The OEM team ensures the customer's end-product will achieve their intended goals, while also ensuring Pall products are specified on their end-product. Most OEM programs are long-term programs that require determination, dedication, and consistent follow up with the customer throughout the concept design phase, prototype phase, and production phase to ensure Pall's product is maintained. * 50% of the Key Account Manager's time is focused on working directly with our customers' engineers. * Understand technical systems, provide technical guidance, and help influence customer specifications when possible. * Interface with Purchasing, Quality, and other functions: OEM KAMs work with all divisions and functions of our customers to ensure the success of the customers' projects. The Key Account Manager works directly with customers' Purchasing Managers & Quality Managers to ensure we support the customer from all divisions.
* Support negotiations of purchasing contracts, LTAs, price increases and quality issues. At some of our customer accounts, the Purchasing/Quality contacts can be Key Decision Makers so it is critical to include them. * Possess a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with diverse audiences. Therefore, the KAM must be able to speak, write, and present in an efficient, professional manner. The programs we work on are long-term, high value programs which require attention to detail, ability to communicate clearly and concisely, and of course a high level of professionalism. * Demonstrated proven ability to work strategically and tactically on long range projects and programs that can require the time, attention and ability to prioritize short terms goals in consideration of the longer-term objectives of the customers’ programs and projects. The time frame from initiation, through planning, execution and closure and can run from 6 months - 36 months, depending on the scope and complexity of the project. Our customers’ projects require a significant amount of collaboration, dedication, follow up, and persistence to see our programs through to closure.
