Would you love to oversee detection and response capabilities and work with more than 20 globally diverse science and technology operating companies? Are you a SOC Manager who would love to join our expanding Threat Management Center (TMC) and security organization, working with the Director, Cyber Threat Management? Protect our digital assets, safeguard our Cloud applications and drive continuous improvements for our global internal shared service for threat detection and response! Play a valuable role in driving security from the ground-up to our systems and applications.
Manage the strategic planning for internal shared service expansion to onboard new customers, assets and data
Provide leadership and guidance in assisting IT and security personnel in the collection and review of artifacts relating to investigations
Responsible for using a data driven approach to ensure efficient and effective SOC operations through metrics and dashboarding
Design detection rules in coordination with a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP)
Collaborate with operating companies, third parties, business process owners and other partners to ensure consistency and effectiveness of incident response activities
Balance understanding and need for business priorities with emerging threats, incident handling standard methodologies and effective use of risk mitigation strategies to appropriately protect company information assets
Maintain strong information security knowledge of threat actor tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) and effective mitigation strategies
Proactively identify security and process gaps and work with colleagues to expand visibility in identified areas
Seek new and innovative approaches to prevent and identify malware infections using endpoint and network security solutions and emerging security technologies
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, Information Technology or equivalent experience
5+ years of related experience in Information Security, with 2+ years of experience at the lead level of a SOC (Security Operations Center) engaged in Cyber incident management and analysis
Experience leading others and working as an individual contributor
- Hands-on experience applying endpoint and network security solutions for incident detection and response: SIEM, EDR, behavioral analytics tools, data classification/DLP, firewalls, Web proxy/content filtering, CASB, access management technologies, network protocol analysis and email security technologies
