SUMMARY OF POSITIONFantastic opportunity to develop & effectively lead the growth of the Digital Pathology business within UK & Ireland!Drive revenue and market share gains through our direct commercial channels & through the identification & development of close relationships with 3rd party organisations. Define, execute & own the development of clear strategies for all aspects of the digital pathology business.Own and lead the regional activity to win business from new accounts and existing Leica customers. Actively lead the region’s implementation in the field.

CAREER PROGRESSIONThe successful candidate, with a validated track-record in the role along with coaching and development, would be expected to have the ability to progress to a more senior role with Leica Biosystems and / or another Danaher business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define & execute the regional Digital Pathology business strategy – with specific focus to win new accounts.

  • Develop & manage relationships with 3rd party organisations.

  • Own, lead & mentor others, at a national level, the Digital Pathology sales opportunities in all accounts – from opportunity identification through to implementation, managing the opportunity at all stages.

  • Develop other associates on all aspects of Digital Pathology sales, providing training where necessary.

  • Partner continuously with the Account Managers, Field Support Scientists and Regional Sales Managers to ensure consistent above-market growth.

  • Research and develop new opportunities to increase Leica Biosystems market share.

  • Go-to person for all Digital Pathology related issues and queries.

  • Able to communicate Vision 24 impact to customers and represent winning characteristics of Leica vs competitors.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Sales background with a consistent record of delivering sustained double-digit revenue growth and strong market share gains in the field of IT Healthcare sales.

  • Strong knowledge of the digital pathology market, including competitors, market trends & latest developments. Good IT knowledge.

  • Establishes effective relationships both inside and outside the organisation – ability to work effectively in a matrix structure and be accountable for delivering business results without direct reports.

  • Confirmed commercial & third partner management skills.

  • Knowledge of technologies, products, processes and selling/purchasing with the hospital environment, competitor and market awareness.

  • Financial acumen: budgets, forecasting, providing quotations, responding to tenders and managing priorities to meet revenue targets.

  • Evidence of strong influencing and collaboration skills.

  • In-depth understanding of the requirements and the importance to follow procedures and process as this is a highly regulated sector by the FDA and other governmental bodies.
