Industrial Design Co-Ops will have the opportunity to assist on new product development as well as upgrading current products. These include product design, packaging and labeling, user manuals, and graphic user interface designs through conceptualizing, defining, and developing.
Responsibilities we will trust you with:
Assists in conceptual development of new products and upgrade of current products through the design process.
Assists in artwork and drawing generation for new and updated labels and user manuals.
Creates new and updating illustrations guides for collateral materials such as product guides and sales guides.
Collects and organizes background research in formative stages of a project.
Creates preliminary sketches, renderings and surgical procedure illustrations.
Creates mechanical layouts and model drawings.
Fabricates mock-ups and study models.
Assists with human factors research and specifications.
Maintains product media documentations.
Works in a learning mode on cross-functional project teams through all phases of the product development process.
Includes planning and executing projects from concept through the launch and initial production ramp-up.
Supports lead product changes after launch based on defined needs of the business.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
Matriculated student working towards an Associate’s Degree (AS) or a Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Industrial Designer or related field equivalent required.
Minimum GPA 3.0 within curriculum is required.
Portfolio of work available for review by hiring manager required.
Experience in using 2D and 3D design softwares (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Alias Studio, Showcase, Solidworks, Sketch Book Pro) along with modeling experience or knowledge (SLA, SLS, FDM, 3d Printer, CNC) preferred
