The Senior Danaher Business Systems Leader (DBSL) for Leica Biosystems primarily assigned to the Mammotome business unit. The Senior DBSL for Mammotome is responsible for promoting and facilitating the successful implementation of the Danaher Business System (DBS) at Danaher companies, allowing those sites to meet their Policy Deployment (PD) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets. This Senior DBSL is specifically responsible for partnering with the Mammotome leadership team to achieve Mammotome business unit objectives, drive thoughtful deployment of DBS tools within the Mammotome Innovation team to ensure the team drives sustainable results and lead the Mammotome leadership team to build critical DBS capabilities .

This leader will act across the Mammotome organization as part of the Mammotome leadership team to act as a change-agent for simplifying and improving the way we execute to achieve targets. This includes organizing and facilitating Mammotome PD/Ops meetings, proactive management of Mammotome’s KPI’s, Kaizen and Problem-Solving Process (PSP) funnel, DBS maturity action plans by function in including tool subject matter experts funnel development and collaborate closely with the LBS DBSL team/Danaher DBSO to secure support for critical events/projects.

This position is part of the Mammotome Global Business Unit located in Cincinnati, OH and will be an onsite position. The Senior DBSL will be a part of the Mammotome Global Business Unit Leadership team. The role will directly report to the Vice President and General Manager for the Mammotome Global Business Unit and have dotted line responsibility to the Leica Biosystems DBSL. This position is part of the Danaher Business Systems Group and will be onsite in Cincinnati, Ohio

What you will do:

  • Work with leaders up to and including the VP level and their teams, lead and facilitate the development and management of growth initiatives to achieve strategic and Policy Deployment (PD) initiatives and annual targets, including the Mammotome Innovation Leader to identify and promote growth concepts (strategy and tools) through thoughtful and focused application of DBS.

  • Link business strategy to DBS and develop a roadmap to achieve same. Close gaps, install/improve process, and sustain results. Leverage a solid understanding of DBS Fundamentals combined with business knowledge and key Innovation processes such as Product Planning Group, Strategic Innovation Review, Visual Project Management/Daily Management to achieve goals.

  • Build DBS capability within the Innovation and Fundamental pillars to ensure long-term sustainment using the Innovation Engine to identify improvement opportunities and drive action plans for prioritized improvement areas, while championing innovation and growth culture by identifying and sharing best practices (internal and external) across the company.

  • Collaborate with the Mammotome Global Business Unit leader and the Mammotome Leadership team to determine and prioritize business initiatives, providing recommendations and consultation to improve organizational efficiency and project completion. Install systems to monitor and communicate progress toward goals and ensure effective sustainment of results and coach and drive problem solving as needed to close gaps to targets.

  • Serve as the Mammotome Business unit lead for focused operating profit improvement acceleration programs in partnership with finance and cross-functional business owners

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Engineering, Business or a related field required; post graduate education (MBA, PhD, etc.) desirable

  • 10+ years of experience in leadership and management (preferably in Engineering, R&D, or Project Management). International experience outside North America preferred

  • 5+ years Cross-Functional experience; Proven track record delivering results through influencing and managing cross-functional teams

  • Fundamental understanding of the healthcare marketplace, product innovation and supply chain operations is required

  • Demonstrated success in a continuous improvement environment

  • Strong analytical and statistical skills with the ability to manage large quantities of data. Must be comfortable with data analytics and leveraging data to guide Mammotome level scenario planning based on pareto analysis and the DBS toolkit (PSP, etc.)

  • Demonstrated success aligning senior leaders (VP and above) to ensure organizational performance and priorities

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. Overnight travel will be required.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Leading New Product launch excellence and/or accelerated product development team

  • Producing reports and presentations with complete/coherent analysis and making sound recommendations

  • Managing multiple assignments simultaneously with prioritization of tasks

The salary range for this role is $160,000 - $180,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
