Danaher Corporation Sr. HR Business Partner, Commercial in Cincinnati, Ohio

The Sr. Human Resources Business Partner aligns with business leaders to develop and implement Human Resource strategies, programs and tools to drive a high performing, developed, engaged work force in partnership with our VP of Sales, VP Global Marketing and General Manager Europe, Africa and Middle East. Associates are based throughout the US and Canada, France, Germany, Poland, and Italy plus associates supporting distributor sales throughout Latin America and rest of Europe, Africa and Middle East.



  • Advises and partners with associates and business leaders

  • Implements key talent and people management processes including consulting with leaders regarding team development and personal/professional development of associates

  • Drives core processes supporting performance management, associate engagement surveys and talent management

  • Drives and manages complex employment relations responsibilities including coaching leaders on early intervention of performance concerns, tough conversations, co-creating performance improvement plans, and ensuring leaders are following through with talent and people processes

  • Leads in developing best practices and implementing site-related policies and processes designed to improve associate / manager work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and control turnover.

  • Consults with leaders on talent management and organizational design challenges including department restructures, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning and succession planning.

  • Supports recruiting and employment activities to ensure the timely placement of qualified associates

  • Champions the Danaher Business System (DBS). DBS is the organizational culture that encompasses continuous improvement and policy deployment of strategic initiatives

  • Takes personal ownership for key HR metrics within span of control (recruitment, development, retention, etc.)

  • Properly executes corporate policies and HR programs ensuring quality, delivery and cost.

  • Maintains knowledge of employment law and related requirements, reducing legal risks and ensuring compliance.

  • Facilitates training and development programs

  • Delivers change management consultation to clients

  • Conducts any additional duties as required

Required Skills/Experience:

  • A Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field

  • A minimum of seven (7+) years of progressive Human Resources experience with two (2+) years of Corporate HRBP experience.

  • Subject matter expert of core HR competencies – Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits, Recruiting and Retention, Talent Management and Organizational Development, Performance Management, Compliance, EHS & Risk Management, Change Management

  • Demonstrated success developing implementing HR programs, systems and initiatives

  • Experience in a matrixed / global environment ( particularly in Europe would be preferred).

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Human Resources Business partner experience working with Commercial organizations

Travel Requirements

  • 10-20% travel with a mix of domestic and international locations (Includes annual travel to Europe)

  • Occasional overnight trips
