The Staff Accountant is responsible for general accounting, monthly reconciliation, account analysis and reporting for Leica Biosystems (LBS) businesses in the Americas. * Prepares journal entries, and monthly account reconciliations for assigned areas of responsibility. * Reviews and analyzes assigned account balances and related fluctuations for propriety, accuracy and completeness. * Prepares summaries and reports as needed. * Executes specific transactions as assigned (i.e., sales tax compliance and payments). * Assists Accounting Director/Accounting Manager to ensure compliance with GAAP and Danaher/LBS policies. * Monitors internal control compliance with assigned areas, and works with internal and external auditors as needed. * Other duties as assigned.


Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the field of Accounting/Finance.


Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field equivalent required. * CPA strongly preferred. * General Skills/Competencies/Specialized Knowledge

Must be able to travel up to 5% of the time. Typical work related travel assignments range 1-3 days, and as such overnight, out-of-town stays may be required.
