The primary responsibility of this position includes the sale of SCIEX Aftermarket Products that may include but are not limited to Services, Service Contracts, Software, Training, Consumables and Chemistries within designated accounts, driving revenue and order growth in an assigned territory by following up on existing customers, new customer acquisition, cross-selling to existing customers, and working with distribution channels for increased sales. The territory for this position is the MidAtlantic (NC,SC,GA).

  • Negotiate complex contracts, sales deals and create strategies to meet the sales plan

  • Develop an expanded understanding of the sales process, different sales markets and gain an expanded understanding of our aftermarket product portfolio in a specific analytical/scientific area, in order to achieve sales results

  • Own and Drive new aftermarket product introductions within territory

  • Understand customer organizations by market vertical, department, function, and key programs

  • Master the basic features and benefits of the entire SCIEX aftermarket portfolio

  • Identify the key decision makers, influencers and establish new business opportunities

  • Increase Aftermarket Sales by promoting campaigns, digital marketing, sales organization activities, and customer inquiries

  • Collaborate with other functional and business leaders to ensure Voice of the Customer is heard in strategic planning at the global, regional, product and business unit level

  • Exercises judgment, based on previous experience, practices and precedents, to achieve more complex sales results

    Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Life Sciences or equivalent experience

  • 1-2- years of successful experience in direct sales is required

  • Ability to meet Vendor Credentialing requirements,are an essential element of this position.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate our value proposition to customers, based on changing customer needs

  • Requires knowledge and experience of sales principles, methods, prospecting techniques to strengthen the network and improve the sales cycle

  • Travel by vehicle (must be able to obtain a US Driver License) or airplane within assigned geography, up to 30% overnight travel may be required.

Preference will be given to candidates who possess:

  • Usage of SCIEX instrumentation and software is a plus.

  • Previous experience with Oracle and Sales Force system preferred.

  • Understanding of Life Science products and instrumentation and our markets preferred.
