Crucial Duties, Critical Success Factors, Responsibilities, Authorities and Required Interactions:
The Senior Global Compensation Manager will be a key member of the Sciex Global Human Resources team reporting directly to the Director Global Compensation, Systems, and Analytics. This person is a highly qualified compensation professional who is passionate about compensation, hands on and willing to serve as a compensation business partner for both Sciex and Phenomenex operating companies. The role will evaluate, analyze and advise on all aspects of global compensation that aligns with the operating company’s strategy and intent to attract, reward and retain highly qualified associates.
Essential job responsibilities:
Act as a compensation business partner and advisor by combining in-depth knowledge of compensation principles, understanding of the business and market landscape, and detailed analysis/models
Collaborate with HR business partners on compensation-related matters such as pay adjustments, job leveling, and offers for new hires and promotions. Recommends creative and collaborative solutions for resolving compensation-related issues.
Work with HR business partners globally to understand country differences to advise compensation policy and processes.
Manage compensation programs such as merit planning, variable pay administration, and equity nomination and distribution processes.
Leading projects, change initiatives, and process improvements
Apply Danaher’s Global Career and Reward Framework, providing direction to the organization around job mapping and leveling; ensuring consistency in the application of the Global Career and Reward Framework.
Stay connected to Danaher Total Rewards initiatives and drive understanding and adoption within Sciex. Share with Danaher the challenges and opportunities in our regions related to Total Rewards. Serve as an advocate for both perspectives.
Provide training to HR on compensation philosophy, strategy, and practice.
Perform data analytics to support various compensation assessments, initiatives and provide recommendations to HR and business leadership.
Perform ad-hoc market pricing and pay range analysis to inform compensation structures.
Support internal and external audits of compensation related matters.
Stay up-to-date on current compensation-related legislation and trends.
Travel required <10%
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years’ compensation related experience
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or related certification required
High level of knowledge of Compensation practices, principles, pay laws, and regulations
Previous experience owning and driving the annual compensation processes required, ideally in a global or multi-regional environment
Proven track record in managing complex projects
Advanced skills in analytics, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Experience with Workday
Ability to shift between consulting work, and analytical and operational work.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations based on the analysis.
Results oriented – has track record for taking ownership and accountability
Comfortable operating with ambiguity - capable of balancing good governance with high quality client service.
