Job Title: Manufacturing BOM and Route Specialist

Location: USA, Remote

Purpose statement:

The Manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOM) & Route Specialist will play a pivotal role supporting our manufacturing departments by generating BOMs and routes in our SAP system. Data quality will be enforced and executed by creating, maintaining, and cleansing BOM and routing data according to specified guidelines.

Essential Functions:

  • Creates and maintains BOMs and Routings in SAP per manufacturing guidelines

  • Creates and maintains SAP material master (MM) data

  • Understands what the SAP Material Master fields drive in a manufacturing environment

  • Provides immediate support to production issues related to the BOMs and routing structure during the product life cycle to ensure continuity of business

  • Analyzes data discrepancies and determines a method for data to be cleansed

  • Follows data standards, processes, and procedures

  • Communicates with end users to assist in validating information

  • Reviews and seeks understanding of operational business procedures and methods specific to functional business areas by mapping current business processes, defining, and analyzing business activities, proposing best practices, and recommending solutions

  • Maintains current and up-to-date knowledge of developments in a specific discipline and/or other related technical fields to recommend innovations, and improve the quality and effectiveness of the business solution

  • Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Licensure, Certification, Registration

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of applicable experience required

  • Proficiency in a variety of PC software programs with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office required

  • SAP experience preferred

  • Manufacturing experience preferred

  • Prior knowledge/experience with Master Data in SAP preferred

  • Knowledge and/or experience with manufacturing product releases and BOM management, SAP Materials Management (SAP MM), S4 HANA preferred
