Job Title: Senior Demand Planner

Location: Coralville, IA (Hybrid)

Purpose Statement:

The Senior Demand Planner is responsible for leading IDT's Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes for designated value streams, or product categories.

Essential Functions:

  • Leads the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes for designated value streams, or product categories

  • Assists Sales Management to develop customer forecast data and order projections

  • Analyzes Production, Sales and Inventory (PSI) data, trends, and future demand

  • Develops weekly and monthly PSI meetings to ensure adherence with published Danaher PSI toolkit best practices

  • Represents the S&OP team in stakeholder reviews, bringing insight and analysis to support improvement activities in areas such as sales, product management, inventory, and manufacturing

  • Ensures rigorous processes exist regarding the measurement, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of key performance indicators

  • Escalates short and mid-term supply or demand gaps to L1/L2 leaders

  • Supports product managers execute life cycle management processes, reviews master data, and makes stock level adjustment recommendations

  • Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies and Danaher Core Values

  • Performs other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor ’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or applicable field required

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years in a supply chain, m anufacturing , or engineering role required

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience demonstrating technical leadership capabilities, working effectively with different levels of staff across functional boundaries preferred

  • Working knowledge of SAP, or a similar tier one ERP system preferred

  • Prior professional experience within an ISO 9001 certified organization required ; 13485 or 14001 preferred

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office package (specifically Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities

  • Some travel required (10%-15%); possibly international

  • Ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within an organization

  • Ability to solve complex problems, provide perspective on existing solutions and exercise judgement based on
