Job Title: Technician I (Machine Assembly)
Shift: M-F 7am to 4pm
Location: Coralville, IA
Purpose statement:
The Technician I (Machine Assembly) assembles and builds manufacturing equipment for IDT’s various locations worldwide. The work being completed is detail orientated and assemblies are built using technical drawings and schematics to maintain IDT’s approach to quality.
Essential Functions:
Follows standard operating procedures and work instruction documents while assembling IDT’s manufacturing equipment.
Completes logs, reports and forms in order to document assembly procedures and qualification data.
Practices safe work habits, follows all IDT safety policies, performs safety checks on equipment and systems and identifies, corrects and reports potential safety hazards.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area and routinely putting away tools.
Interprets technical drawings and applies knowledge to assemble equipment
Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate’s degree in Engineering or Maintenance related program preferred.
Professional Experience:
Minimum of two years of experience in a mechanically related field preferred
Previous electrical soldering experience preferred
Basic knowledge of ERP systems preferred

Mechanical aptitude and general knowledge of assembly techniques
Ability to safely use hand tools and light power tools
Ability to work independently
