Danaher Corporation Process Engineer (m/f/d) in Cork, Ireland

Position Summary:

Determines the optimal manufacturing methods and processes for producing company products from start-up, building the product line, through satisfactory production. This includes analyzing engineering design documents to establish manufacturing methods and processes to manufacture a component, creating conceptual sketches and initiating the design and building of required tooling. Describes outside vendor services needed for the manufacture of a component. Establishes outsourced vendor manufacturing & quality plans. Roles that drive improvement to product cost, quality and performance by utilizing Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) methodologies. This position reports to ´the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the implementation of process changes, product revisions, and new product introduction to ensure a smooth transition to the production floor, ensuring all quality and validation requirements are met.

  • Provide training to manufacturing associates in new and existing processes

  • Maintain and create technical documentation such as SOPs and Training Instructions.

  • Initiate root-cause investigations, analysis and documentation of production failures.

  • Coordinate with various departments to execute and implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Develop and implement improvements projects for production process, equipment and tools

  • Lead/Participate in Kaizen activities.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related technical degree or 5 years experience in Lean Operations and Engineering.

  • Demonstrated troubleshooting, analytical and planning/organizing skills.

  • Ability to work independently and with teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent problem-solving skills and be able to drive through improvements.

  • Understands Lean Manufacturing principles and methodology. Ability to read and understand wiring and pneumatic diagrams.
