Danaher Corporation Product Builder (m/w/d) in Cork, Ireland

HACH as part of the DANAHER Group is currently looking for a Product Builder to mechanically and electrically assemble and test analyzers and their sub-components according to written specifications and drawings. The contract will be fixed-term until the end of 2022.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Mechanically and electrically assemble analyzers and their sub-components following specifications and procedures.

  • Adhering to the defined work instructions and quality requirements.

  • Meet productivity standards.

  • Comply with company safety policies, including safe operation of equipment, PPE usage, hand tool safety, lock-out-tag-out and proper storage of tools. Comply with good housekeeping policies.

  • Accurately perform required computer data entry and work order transactions.

  • Gather materials as per picking list.

  • Participate in team meetings.

  • Perform cycle counting and other inventory tasks, including material handling.

  • Work with manager to suggest and initiate changes to process or procedures that improve safety, quality, delivery, or productivity

    Other Non-Essential Functions:

  • Interface with other departments as needed.

  • Perform other duties throughout the facility as assigned.

    Education, Background and Skill Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a production environment.

  • Technical Qualification (e.g. welding) an advantage.

    Skills :

  • Possess manual dexterity and good coordination.

  • Possess proven mechanical ability or aptitude.

  • Soldering skills would be an advantage.

  • Ability to read basic electrical drawings.

  • Possess the ability to resolve minor problems, recognize normal and unusual situations.

  • Some areas will require the ability to work with manual and power equipment.

  • Must have good oral and written communication skills.

  • Possess working knowledge of manufacturing processes helpful.

  • Possess working knowledge of mechanic systems and troubleshooting mechanical problems.
