Sets up and operates automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure consistency to production/process specifications. Follows engineering drawings, work order information, Manufacturing Assembly Procedures, SOPs, and other written and verbal specifications. Installs, modifies, moves, repairs and dismantles machinery and equipment according to requisition established documentation (e.g., SOPs), layout plans, blueprints or other drawings. Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Assembles mechanical units, fabricated parts/components and/or electrical/electronic systems to make sub-assemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment. Includes Machine Operator, Process Operations, Product Assembly, and Production Technician roles.
Sets-up, maintains and operates a variety of production equipment required in the manufacturing of disposable filter products
Responsible for the conformance to product requirements and assists in maintaining production schedules
Perform complete set-ups of any equipment used in the production of disposable filters
Monitor and/or perform verification testing of processes and product
Completes vital paperwork accurately and on time
Provide maintenance of all production equipment
Operate all equipment used in production, assembly and testing
Perform any operations/procedures to maintain efficiencies and meet customer requirements
Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly
Adheres to the provisions of the current labor agreement and shop rules
Continuously facilitates improvements to eliminate non-value-added activities and exceed customer expectations
Adheres to established Environmental Health and Safety procedures
Performs all other duties as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED)
Knowledge of “shop math”
Ability to read and comprehend product drawings and written work instructions
Ability to use measuring equipment (ruler, calipers, etc.)
Basic computer knowledge and skills (i.e. Microsoft Excel)
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Passing of required aptitude test
