Summary:Leading and coordinating the Global Plastic Injection Moulding Supplier Development at Pall!
This includes capacity expansion needs, quality monitoring and improvements, on time delivery (OTD) monitoring and improvement, inventory strategies, new supplier evaluation needs, supplier kaizens and supporting mould tool strategies.
Work with suppliers to achieve cost savings by implementing improved automation cost reduction projects, moulds transfer, new vendors, multi-cavity molds, hot runners conversion and parts consolidation.Utilize the mould database to help prepare annual 'new tool' budget for each of the Pall Life Science plants.Maintain and develop the tool database.Preparation of documentation by writing and retracting URS, scope of work, business case, mould and automation specifications, request for quotation, validation protocol and reports.Direct, communicate and lead projects including but not limited to design, engineering and analyzes product, problem, processes, test and test set-ups.Research, investigate, test and develop product, transfer technology including manufacturing and testing equipment and provides hands on troubleshooting to the mentioned technology.Integrate and align efforts from different sources by directing, supervising and/or otherwise leading project team members and/or contractors as required for successful project completion.Provide, measure and supervise mold program progress by using statistical tools and reports.Provide any combination of tool and component attributes to various functions within the organisation for their decision making processes.Work with R&D, moulders and tool makers to ensure optimum and cost effective mould tool solutions for new products on 'design-for manufacture' of new productsSupport R&D on long-term technology and product direction by understanding product application and resolving problem with customers.Ensure compliance with QRS, ISO and all applicable regulations and company procedures.
Qualifications/Experience:Degree in Engineering (or equivalent level).Greenbelt 6 sigma certification.Experience in medium/high volume Medical, Pharmaceutical, Automotive or Food Industry.Significant experience in Mechanical, Plastics/Materials Engineering and Automation.Experience of plastic injection mold tool making/polymers/polymer parts design for quality molding (design for manufacture).
