Danaher`s Water Quality Business is a global leader in water quality analysis and treatment, providing instrumentation and disinfection systems to help analyze and manage the quality of ultra-pure water, portable water, wastewater, groundwater and ocean water in residential, commercial, industrial, and natural resource applications. Our water quality business provides products under a variety of brands, including HACH, ChemTreat, and Trojan Technologies.

Description
_Purpose of Position_ _ _ Provide leadership and drive cross-functional alignment to deliver company objectives, including but not limited to: * Build and develop a high performing, growth-oriented commercial open innovation team * Focus on accelerating commercial learning, failing and pivoting fast * Ensure the team is doing the rights things (focusing on the critical few) and doing things right (leveraging DBS and best demonstrated practices) * Create processes to address internal hurdles to commercialize open innovation products * Drive organizational alignment to successfully build and grow Hach’s commercial open innovation business

Essential Functions * Leads the New Venture team to validate commercial and technical viability for external partners through Hach established channels. * Owns Hach’s New Ventures funnel and roadmap execution through DDS OI Process. Manages and prioritizes New Ventures BU resources to accelerate viability assessment and successful ventures transfer to Commercial BU Teams * Owns internal process to develop robust global financial forecasts for New Ventures partnerships * Manages relationship with partners going through viability assessment by setting expectations, establishing milestones and sustaining clear and open communication. * Provides business leadership to New Venture Teams and drives prioritization of critical few to accelerate time to market. * Develops global business processes to assure sustainability and standard work for the New Ventures team * Actively participates within Product Technology Group (BU & R&D) to identify opportunities to develop new partnerships * Create processes to allow product managers to efficiently navigate traditional hurdles to commercialize open innovation products * Assists in the development of the business unit policy deployment and KPIs.

Qualification
* BS or BA in Engineering or the Sciences required * MBA or equivalent highly desirable * 5 years of experience in any combination of the following: introducing analytical solutions, alliance management, research and development, business development, communications and project management * Demonstrated skill at leading a global cross-discipline team * Experience introducing analytical solutions to Hach Company customer base or similar experience preferred * Broad knowledge of Hach’s Company marketplace, customer applications, and use of Hach products in the market is preferred * Demonstrated record of driving results * Ability to present highly complex, technical, or difficult messages clearly and persuasively * Demonstrated ability to quickly acquire new knowledge and skills as required * Demonstrated ability to prioritize clearly and manage finite resources
