The Commercial Lab Executive will be responsible for developing relationships to protect and grow existing business. In conjunction with the Health Systems Executive, the CLE will be specifically responsible for sales support and account management of National Commercial Laboratories within the South/Central United States.

Through their extensive knowledge of Beckman Coulter’s suite of clinical diagnostic products and services using strategic sales techniques, the CLE will call on prospective and current customers, involve technical personnel to resolve customer issues, and manage customer contract commitments. The CLE may participate in the establishment of sales strategy and assist with the sales process. Through active funnel management, the associate will successfully implement a sales plan designed to achieve established sales and financial goals.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Enforce contract compliance, support sales processes, and drive recurring revenue growth and expansion

  • Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing metrics and recommendations that improve operational efficiencies with solid financial results to BCI

  • Provide advocacy to customers with varied business models to fulfill their contract, service, and support needs

  • Demonstrate strong executive presence, communication, and presentation skills; quickly build strong relationships and establish credibility, trust and support, as well as develop strong followership

  • Incorporate Danaher Business Systems into work and by extension to customer engagements through Daily Management, Waste Walks, Continuous Process Improvement, and Problem Solving Process and becoming certified in these disciplines.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or similar

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a laboratory environment (MT/MLT/CLS preferred)

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; ability to analyze complicated issues down to the key points, communicate effectively to his/her team, develop action plans and bring to a successful conclusion

  • Applying technical and business knowledge/background to determine when to mobilize additional internal and external resources from BCI; understanding the voice of the customer and leveraging the relevant partners to achieve desired outcome

  • Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Direct management of laboratory operations

  • Strong knowledge and/or expertise in National Commercial accounts with respect to processes, contracting procedures, regulations, business analytics, and marketing opportunities

  • Conducting technical and sales presentations to clearly articulate to various customer stakeholders

  • Navigating this complex marketplace, while keeping abreast of changes in the healthcare landscape and understanding and communicating their impact on our business

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and commitments, keeping progress on all fronts.

  • Monitoring and understanding the supply chain and assisting with inventory management
