We currently offer the following position in our Texas region which will be fully remote.

Regional Sales Manager, Texas

Come join a fantastic team! The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for the recruitment, retention and development of talent in one of our key business geographies. This leader will build and develop a diverse team that uniquely differentiates Leica from all competitors, providing a best in market experience for our customers. The RSM provides strategic direction and coaching to their team, outlining growth strategies and executing supporting tactics that enable Leica to sustainably grow, outpacing the market.

The RSM manages all funnel creation, funnel development and selling activities of the research microscopy sales teams in their assigned region. The primary function is to implement sales plans and to regularly evaluate key performance indicators to deliver on growth expectations, proactively implementing countermeasures as needed. This position is remote based with travel 60-70 %.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales region through development and executing of strategies that drive growth.

  • Accountable for year over year new funnel created, funnel growth, orders and sales growth, and market share gains.

  • Works across all customer facing field personnel to implement Team Selling.

  • Recruit, train, and develop sales teams using Value Selling.

  • Maintains rigor in all Standard Work in funnel and forecast management, with weekly reviews of sales funnels.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience as a sales representative in Life Science capital equipment sales. BS/BA required ; PhD in Biology is a plus

  • Working understanding of the regional business landscape with focus in the life science space - preferably Texas.

  • Strong leadership qualities to include ability in developing a team of salespeople and work in the field.

  • Self-motivated to proactively take actions to drive growth. Must reside in Dallas, Houston or Austin area with valid drivers license.

  • Knowledge and experience in lean manufacturing / DBS functions (PSP, Kaizen, VS 2.0) is preferred

The salary range for this role is $105,000 to $115,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
