CDI Support Engineer Introduction As a CDI Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the daily remote support of our customers with Digital Flexo hardware and software products. Main responsibilities and key activities • Performs end-user support, including: • 1st line remote support on CDI imagers, Grapholas and DFS software • Direct communication with end users via phone, e-mail, TeamViewer • Troubleshooting of system and application problems • Identify correct spare part needs • Communicate, co-operate and follow-up with field service, planning, parts and global support teams. • Remotely assist field service engineers with: Spare part support Troubleshooting of hard and software problems • Occasionally (<20%) visits customers to perform field repairs and upgrades
Qualifications • In depth understanding of all electronical, optical, mechanical and software aspects of Esko’s CDI product line and platemaking processes. • Minimum 3 years CDI repair experience. • Solid software skills related to: CDI Grapholas, log files, configuration files Windows 7 & 10, Windows Installs, PC hardware & drivers Basic networking, TCP/IP config • Very strong analytical skills and a quick learner • Multi-tasker, must be able to effectively handle 10-20 open cases • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent follow up • You are proactive and a self-starter • Ability to operate in a virtual team • Able to occasionally perform after hours support (6-9 pm EST)
