The Sr. Pricing Data Analyst role is an integral part of the Commercial Operations team and is responsible for the structuring and administration of pricing for our Advanced Staining, Core Histology and Pathology Imaging business supporting our Sales teams for Leica Biosystems. This role is based in our Deer Park, IL office, with hybrid work schedule. In this role, the Sr. Pricing Data Analyst will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (finance, customer service, service, IT, sales, marketing, legal) and balance internal and external business operation demands. Individual should bring a solid base of sales operations workflow, list and target price setting, Sales Price Variance (SPV) and process improvement experience to the team.
This individual will be responsible for driving price. Administration of general pricing, discrepancy resolutions and price increase process along with developing pricing models. Complete, accurate, timely and compliant price administration, membership management and price realization reporting is critical. Foundational understanding of SAP, customer master data and hierarchies is preferable.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Analyze sales price variance by region and product to summarize year-to-date performance
Identify potential countermeasures for addressing price erosion and communicate to leadership
Own the commercial growth equation, investigate the top customers of win, expand, and lost sales, ensure the data is accurate and flowing correctly to power BI
Collect and analyze data to provide insights for specific pricing strategies and develop templates to report on KPIs
Create and maintain monthly bowlers and executive summaries
Establish and maintain pricing governance across main contracts and discounts
Lead the annual list and target price setting activities for US and Canada
Lead annual Distributor price increases
Calculate and load list and target prices throughout the year
Document processes and perform ad hoc analysis as requested
Other projects and duties as assigned
The essential requirements of the job include:
BA or BS Degree with 3+ years of related experience OR 5+ years equivalent work experience
5+ years validated experience in pricing management, price analysis, reporting and data analytics.
High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat
SAP or other ERP systems - query / data mining / database management experience required.
Excellent time management and organization skills are a must.
Ability to travel 5%
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Previous experience in finance, marketing and/or sales
Knowledge of medical device industry, clinical laboratories
Familiarity with Power BI including report creation and troubleshooting issues
