Join our team as an Area Sales Manager and support products you can feel passionate about! The Area Sales Manager leads, develops and maintains business relationships with existing and new customers to meet sales objectives through sales team within specified territory. Plan, direct and implement strategies to maximize sales volume at minimum cost and increase market share for all HemoCue products in assigned geography. Markets covered include (but are not limited to); Physician Office, Surgery Center, Hospital/IDN, and Community Health Centers.

All the responsibilities we will trust you with:

  • Ensure sales goals/forecasting/budget objectives are met through implementation of performance objectives, funnel management, programs, policies and key messages.

  • Coordinate, implement and conduct sales presentations and negotiations

  • Provides strategic and technical planning to purposefully lead the territory; assure adequate sales, monitor promotions and provide after the sale reporting

  • Recruit, retain and develop results driven sales force – top grade when necessary

  • Coach sales reps with sales skills, funnel management, and product sales

  • Make field sales calls with reps to ensure increase in market share

  • Use scorecards to develop and lead reps in meeting qualitative and quantitative factors. Maintain local market and competitive conditions

  • Responsible for overall management of business unit accounts to ensure an increase in sales.

  • Connect with individual accounts and the organization about opportunities and/or programs.

  • Recommend programs to profitably secure and develop future business opportunities according to IDN aggregate account potential

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matters most for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field.

  • 5+ yrs. sales, marketing, training, corporate accounts and sales management experience in medical sales. Record of meaningful achievement of regional quotas.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and coach team to success

  • Strong Planning, Time Management, and Financial business insight

  • Travel 65%

  • Contract maintenance experience

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in matrix environment
