In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead the development and tech transfer of new Quality Control (QC) assays and continued improvement of existing QC assays for NGS products

  • Plan and conduct experiments, perform data analysis, and interpret results with minimal to moderate oversight

  • Draft, develop and improve QC protocol documentation and ensure that they are in compliance with internal and external quality requirements

  • Support the broader QC and QA groups by becoming a subject matter expert in IDT Archer and xGen NGS chemistries and associated data analysis pipelines

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to cross-functional groups of scientists

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • PhD degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, etc.) or other relevant field

  • 2+ years of experience in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Oncology Research, or other relevant industry

  • 2+ years of industry experience preferably in Quality Control or Research and Development

  • 6+ years of lab experience required, including relevant experience with the Molecular Biology techniques of PCR, qPCR, and various NGS library preparation methodologies

  • Demonstrated ability to design experiments, interpret results, and problem solve

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Proficiency in assay optimization and troubleshooting

  • Experience with Mac OS command line interface or basic coding languages, such as Python or R

  • Experience with a variety of next-generation sequencing library preparation methods

  • Experience working with or coding liquid handling robots

The salary range for this role is $95,000- $105,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
