Job Summary

The Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for supporting sales operations in various capacities for a defined geography. While in this role, incumbent will be responsible for assisting customers and the sales team with technical inquires, such as filter sizing’s, filter recommendations, and Biopharmaceutical / Single-Use product information. The objective of this position is to continue to grow and establish Pall’s Biopharmaceutical business in LATAM by supporting the Account Managers in South Western LATAM.


  • Bachelor’s Degree with focus in Life Sciences, Engineering, Sciences or Business, experience in commercial operations, inside sales / customer services.

  • Strong understanding of Biopharmaceutical process development and production processes and operation e.g. biotechnology proteins, vaccines.

  • Work independently with little supervision, but also s trong sense of teamwork. Self-starter and a quick learner.

  • Experience in the Biotechnology field would be a plus.

  • Must be fluent in English.

  • Customer focus; results driven; well organized and be able to handle several multi-tasks simultaneously; effective communication internal and externally; team building / relationship building; analytical thinking / decision making.

  • Desired courses / knowledge: SAP SD modules. Microsoft Office Package (Advanced Excel, Word, Powerpoint), Outlook.

  • Availability to travel up to 25%.

    Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support field sales efforts by handling customer inquiries and providing product and technical support. 30%.

  • Prepare sales quotations and proposals for direct customers, distributors and direct sales teams. 30%.

  • Coordinate with internal and external technical resources to support specific customer requests, applications and sales opportunities. 10%.

  • Provide customer feedback to Sales Mgmt. and Marketing. 10%.

  • Prepare weekly and Monthly Activity Reports to assess territory and market conditions. 10%.

  • Travel with Field Sales Personnel to provide technical support. 10%.

  • Prepares detailed technical and commercial proposals for the Biopharm Customers.

  • Works closely with Sales and customers to integrate Pall systems into customer’s process. Performs appropriate calculations to ensure proper sizing and design.

  • Supports system proposal preparation, participates in customer presentations as required.

  • Identify when the escalation of incomplete follow-up actions, or unresolved quotation issues, are required.

  • Prepares the cost estimates for projects to support preparation of commercial proposals to customers.

  • Provides technical support to outside sales organization, identifying applications solutions as per customer needs and potential opportunity.

  • Provides analysis on material and financial costs for the projects.

  • Performs other related activities as required by management.

  • Understands and complies with all company Quality, Safety and Security, Finance and HR policies and procedures as related to this position, including reading all relevant quality, safety and security literature, using the required protective equipment and practicing good housekeeping.
