POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager, Field Marketing, Middle East and North Africa will have strategic ownership of marketing at the regional level and establish long-term strategy for their region. They should have the capability to line-manage team members and be autonomous making good strategic decisions with minimal supervision.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the marketing and product management of all product areas or marketing segments across the region to successfully achieve sales targets
Support the business needs of the MENA sales organisation and distribution partners
Set and control the budget and forecast for marketing in the MENA
Prepare and implement the marketing plan and product launches for all targeted products in the MENA
Support and train the sales teams on marketing campaigns and product launches
Actively participate in the development of the MENA marketing strategy and plan including the utilisation of digital marketing and innovative routes to market
Develop and communicate key messages, value propositions, marketing programs, and sales tools
Responsible for Market Knowledge, reporting government policies, own activities, follow up of action plans, competition activities and customers’ needs
Deliver monthly reports, and quarterly marketing plan updates
Co-ordinate activities with regional sales teams and EMEA Regional Marketing and share best practices with other field marketing associates within the EMEA team
Establish Regional Action Plans priorities, based on Return on Investment
Drive ROI by try, measure, learn and identifying the right (leading) indicators
Develop team members to reinforce the strategy within the region
Set relevant performance and development objectives for any associated direct reports
Support regional sharing of best practice
TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)
Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time
Ensure your associates attend and complete all required trainings satisfactorily and on time.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education or Experience (in years):
Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of experience OR
Master’s degree with 7+ years of experience
Regional product management and sales experience in Diagnostics or Device industries would be an advantage
Experience in Molecular Biology and relevant post graduate qualification would be an advantage
Expertise with complex, multi-departmental healthcare sales is desired
Must be effective when working in cross functional teams with a proven track record working with geographically dispersed team members
Must have excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to deliver complex information into a simplified manner for the audience to understand.
Ability to read, analyse and interpret business periodicals, scientific journals, technical procedures, package inserts, and regulatory regulations.
Able to identify and solve complex organisational issues by leveraging resources both within the marketing organisation and beyond
Enthusiasm, strong interpersonal and motivational skills
Understanding of region-wide cultural differences and approaches
Knowledge and skills:
Ability to work in a team environment and across an organisation to drive results. Must be sensitive to multicultural environments.
Enthusiasm, strong interpersonal and motivational skills; scalable to future assignments.
Excellent communication skills including verbal and written, and presentation skills required, along with a strong financial and business acumen, flexibility and good judgement.
Needs to have a high degree of leadership and able to engage with and successfully influence others from colleagues and customers, ranging from lab technicians to clinical experts.
