The Senior Service Engineer role would encompass both a hands-on technical service, fault-finding and instrument repair requirement alongside project / contract management which would include being the incumbent on site safety representative for Hach coupled with day-to-day leadership of a small team reporting into the country service manager. Candidates should be based in Dublin with the ability to travel to their place of work in under 1 hour.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
Deliver project / contract management to ensure deliverables are met, health and safety requirements are satisfied, and the incumbent site workforce are supported and efficient in their daily routines.
Have the ability and agility to perform hands on preventative maintenance schedules and undertake in depth diagnostics / repairs to equipment that is subject to failure.
Manage site stock levels to ensure that spares, reagents, and product stocks are available when needed.
Gather, control and present contract performance delivery data and generate weekly / monthly reports alongside meeting attendance with our customer to deliver reports and be accountable for defined KPI targets.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Qualified to a higher education level (degree or higher diploma) in an appropriate electrical / electronic qualification.
Have proven (min 5 years) experience within the service and instrumentation arena. Have proven project management experience (min 3 years).
Display excellent communication and customer liaison skills, including negotiation and the ability to resolve conflict.
A full clean driving license is held as there is an element of travel involved in the role.
Computer literacy is an important part of the role, strong IT skills are advantageous to the position.
Prior experience of health and safety in the workplace and good practice.
