The Total Care Technician role is an incumbent site based position, working at Ireland’s largest waste water treatment plant in central Dublin. Day to day activities would include routine instrument cleaning, daily – weekly husbandry and health checks for Hach supplied equipment. Working outdoors and requiring a high level of fitness it’s a great opportunity to work in a role that requires a multi-disciplined approach to be successful. Candidate should be based within 1 hours travel to Dublin center.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Carry out on plant instrumentation general husbandry, cleaning and operational health checks whilst also monitoring the performance of the equipment and install base using our specialized monitoring software, following up with a first line investigation into a problem, documenting your findings into a site log.

  • Order, receive and control stock to enable smooth onsite operations.

  • Respond to unexpected service plan changes working a flexible approach when needed.

  • Support the team of field service engineers as they undertake onsite planned service regimes and attend to equipment breakdowns.

  • Prepare service reports, service records and job-related administration.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Background in electrical, electronic or mechanical engineering coupled with a “can do” flexible attitude

  • Ability to use a PC for report writing and job task closure.

  • The physical fitness to undertake an at times physically challenging role and be open to working outdoors throughout the year.

  • A full driving license would be advantageous for this position.
