We have an exciting new position for a technically minded candidate who would be based at one of our large customer wastewater treatment sites in Dublin Ireland. The role is incumbent site based although you would operate alongside a larger field site team who supports the Island of Ireland within the water and industrial markets.
Day-to-day activities would include routine instrument cleaning, daily – weekly husbandry and health checks for Hach-supplied equipment on our large customer sewage treatment site. Working outdoors and requiring a high level of fitness it’s a great opportunity to work in a role that requires a multi-disciplined approach to be successful. Candidates should be based in Dublin with the ability to travel to their place of work in under 1 hour.
There are no required minimum defined qualifications for this role however we are looking for candidates with a positive, “can do” attitude to be successful. All relevant training required will be provided.
To carry out instrumentation general husbandry, cleaning and operational health checks at Dublin’s largest sewage treatment facility.
To monitor the performance of the equipment, install base using our specialised monitoring software, follow up with a first-line investigation into the problem, documenting your findings into a site log.
To order, receive and control stock to enable smooth onsite operations.
To be able to respond to unexpected service plan changes working a flexible approach when needed.
Supporting the team of field service engineers as they undertake onsite planned service regimes and attend to equipment breakdowns.
The preparation of service reports, service records and job-related administration.
This is a primarily unskilled position, but a “can do” flexible attitude is required to be successful.
Having a general electrical, electronic and mechanical interest.
Able to use a PC for report writing and job task closure.
Having a friendly approach to customers and their requirements.
Developing the ability to work alone or alongside others as part of a team.
The physical fitness to undertake an at times physically challenging role and be open to working outdoors throughout the year.
A Full driving license would be advantageous for this position.
