In this role, the candidate will manage technical collaborations and evaluations with our customers to drive greater adoption of products within our genomics and diagnostics portfolio. By demonstrating our product strengths, helping to optimize workflows, resolving issues & establishing constructive partnerships, the candidate will lead design-in opportunities from the technical side, focusing on genomics & diagnostics solutions, particularly in next generation sequencing and magnetic bead based molecular and immunodiagnostics workflows. The candidate will provide technical support and training to our overall commercial team including our distribution network. The candidate will coordinate with our R&D, modality specialists & commercial organization to deliver customer focused solutions. It is expected that the role will require travel of 50% to 70% of the time.
What you’ll do
Develop customer relationships, identify, and translate customer needs into workable solutions leveraging the existing product portfolio and customization capabilities, to drive business success and revenue growth
Lead technical, customer focussed projects within genomics and diagnostics related fields, develop understanding of customer workflows and pain points, and together with the team, implement troubleshooting techniques to achieve successful outcomes
Use customer feedback and general awareness to identify new opportunities and unmet needs in relation to new product proposals and product modifications
Identify technologies that could support the business strategy & engage with the internal and external stakeholders to progress to execution
Generate and deliver technical training, for both internal and external audiences, e.g., seminars, lunch & learns, conferences etc and provide technical and application-based support to the sales and marketing teams
Who you are
Bachelors or Masters degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, or equivalent plus relevant experience in genomics and/or immunodiagnostics assay fields
Strong technical background in Genomics, Molecular Diagnostics & immunodiagnostics applications with special focus around Next Generation Sequencing library prep and Single Cell sequencing, with practical experience in use and optimization of magnetic particles and silica/ glass fiber membranes in research and diagnostics
Previous experience within a commercially focused role is required.
Solid problem-solving skills, to identify and understand the problems, communicate issues, and propose solutions to both internal team members and external customers
Proven professional business acumen (experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process)Self-motivated with strong leadership skills, able to manage multiple priorities at one time, possessing a willingness to take initiative to identify opportunities and take actions for improvement
Demonstrated interpersonal & communication skills, able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, to external customers, global counterparts and between business organizations, with strong presentation skills (public speaking and lecture experience desired)
