The Project Manager, New Product Development is responsible for managing all aspects of diverse projects which require technical knowledge and expertise. Using project management tools including DBS, leads, coordinates and facilitates cross functional technical teams with direct and dotted line reporting to achieve project goals in support of the company’s goals and annual operating plan. The span of cross-functional influence for this role includes R&D, Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Business Development & Sales.
This position is part of the R&D Technical Project Management department and will be located remotely in Europe.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Guide and lead the processes that drive New Product Development (NPD)
Grasp the technical aspirations of NPD initiatives while focusing on leadership of the multi-disciplinary, cross-organizational logistics required to drive NPD projects to commercial success
Retain vision of the big picture while simultaneously documenting progress against deliverables, maintaining schedules, coordinating meetings, keeping management apprised of progress and escalating issues in a timely manner
Ensure NPD teams utilize sound fundamentals articulated in standard work around Danaher NPD processes
Drive continuous improvement activities
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science with at least 7 years of experience.
Accredited certification in Project Management, such as PMP
Direct experience in a Project Management role with cross-functional, global teams operating in a stage-gate process.
Demonstrated track record of success at driving NPD projects to completion.
Ability to travel, as needed, both nationally and internationally.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Knowledge of filter design, fluid dynamics, chemical and hydromechanics, advanced membrane technology.
