Danaher Corporation Territory Manager (m/f/d) Hannover in Dusseldorf, Germany


Cepheid is an innovative molecular diagnostics company aiming to improve patient outcomes, and we are looking for a Territory Manager (m/f/d) to join our dynamic Sales team in Germany. In this position you will manage a dedicated sales territory (Hannover and the surrounding area). This is a field-based position with home office, flexible schedule and frequent travel across the designated territory.


  • Manage and grow Cepheid business within the assigned geography for both existing and new accounts including, but not limited to, hospitals, private laboratories and POC settings

  • Anticipate customer needs and proactively provide solutions that improve patient outcomes by driving multi-departmental sale from introduction of new diagnostics concepts through implementation

  • Collaborate with internal resources such as Field Application Specialist and Marketing to develop and implement customer and region-specific sales strategies

  • Capture and effectively manage customer data and engagement activities in Cepheid’s CRM system (salesforce.com)

  • Introduce new testing concepts through engaging customer presentations, product shows and effective stakeholder mapping and management beyond existing contacts at a customer site


• Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree in a scientific field, i.e. Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Oncology, Virology or similar

  • Strong track record of delivering results and effectively managing stakeholder relationships

  • 2-5 years of demand generation and sales experience in a hospital or private lab environment preferred

Knowledge and skills:

  • Strategic thinking, growth mindset, sense of urgency and strong collaboration skills

  • Strong customer focus and relationship building skills, effective stakeholder management

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, demonstrated negotiation skills

  • Consultative sales approach – value selling

  • Self-motivated and dependable

  • Skilled in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Skilled in CRM applications such (i.e. Salesforce.com)


  • Fluent in German and English

  • Travel 50-75%
