This role must be based out of the XOS headquarters which is based in East Greenbush, New York. Candidates must reside or being willing to relocate to this area for the role.

About the role

This is an exciting opening that has multi-functional influence and is a key player in the XOS organization. You will have the chance to participate in all Design and Process FMEA exercises during Design, Development, and Product Transfer. Ensure that Technical Risk is illuminated, and ultimately removed or adequately mitigated prior to Product Launch.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting, sustaining, and improving Manufacturing and Quality Operations for Analyzers produced at XOS. Lead Product Transfer activities during New Product Introduction (NPI)! Provide Domain Expertise on manufacturing processes, material flow and breakthrough technologies that can be used to reduce lead time, improve quality, or reduce cost. Individuals in this position will have ongoing interaction and communications with those in Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Technical

service.

Provide Technical Leadership within Operations, driving performance to Key Performance Indicators in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Efficiency. We manage projects associated with Engineering and Process Changes that drive Quality Improvements, Process Improvements, Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE), and Design Changes that require multi-functional resource involvement. This position drives CapEx, 3P, and other kaizen activities in support of Policy Deployment and reports to Value Stream Leader.

Responsibilities:

  • Be an active participant in Daily Management activities within Operations; assist with, participate in and chip in to triage and troubleshoot analyzers and related product failures to determine root cause and corrective action, and improve FPY.

  • Perform extensive design reviews of existing products to then define areas of design change that will positively impact quality and reliability, and/or reduce cost; expand Margins.

  • Work with Materials leadership on timing of validation completion and cut in of validated parts or assemblies to ensure that there is no down time or shortages to customers associated with changes.

  • Review and update Bills of Materials via Engineering Change Order Process

  • Train operations personnel on standard methodologies regarding critical manufacturing controls.

  • Define and control production processes by driving continuous improvement via DBS.

  • Drive lead / cycle time improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven troubleshooting, analytical, and planning skills. Previous experience with mechanical modeling/SolidWorks Software

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related degree and a minimum of 3 years proven experience in Production Process and Equipment; Demonstrated ability in manufacturing of X-Ray instruments ideal

  • Prior experience performing Six Sigma Improvement Methodologies & Design for Six Sigma Tools, as well as performing Lean Manufacturing methods and tools is required

  • Willingness to travel within the United States up to 5%
