We have a fantastic opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join the Pall family!

In this role, you will carry out the installation, validation, calibration, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of Pall Biotech equipment at our Customer sites, predominately covering Scotland.

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for the service and support of Pall’s customer base. Overseeing repair, installation, maintenance and calibration of Pall Corporation equipment at customer sites.

  • Customer Satisfaction - Increased efficiency, decreased downtime, regular Calibration and Preventive Maintenance, regular upgrades.

  • Be a clear advocate for the customer (internal and external) and a steward for the company.

  • Adding Service Calls into Pall’s Service Management System, scheduling their own visits and closing service calls at completion.

  • Drive a sense of ownership and urgency to ensure customer needs are addressed promptly and with an emphasis on a “first time fix”.

  • Training customer personnel in operation/maintenance of Pall Systems

  • Supporting sales growth, service growth and customer satisfaction by identifying leads for new equipment and services. Able to handle customer accounts and understand where Pall can add more value by offering extra services (e.g. rental units, consumables, service on other equipment, etc.).

  • Manage individual expenses with on time monthly submission of expense reports.

  • Completion of weekly scheduling reports and participation in all Team calls.

Who you are:

  • Btech/ONC/HND/ Apprenticeship or Bachelors (in a mechanical or electrical engineering subject area) or Military equivalent

  • 3 to 5 years Field Service experience.

  • Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical troubleshooting, theory and application.

  • Strong deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills.

  • Valid driver’s license and valid current passport required.

  • Residing in a commutable distance to Edinburgh, Scotland.

  • Willingness to travel - there may be occasional international travel, when not travelling or onsite you would be working from home. There is a company car with this position!

  • Able to identify, own and supervise any issues with an account, according to call procedure, to reach resolution.

  • Commercial experience, experience of or willingness to identify leads and promoting products or services.

  • Supportive of other FSE’s and service team members.

  • Good at prioritising daily activities and possesses the drive and motivation to take action, resolving issues requiring immediate attention.
