This job is a role in Wijchen, the Netherlands or Clare in Ireland and will be a hybrid role within Supply Chain and more specifically, to work with our Transportation team. We will depend on you to transfer ERP data, carrier performance data and financial data into our data warehouse and visualize the information in Power Bi. Based on the information, you will use your analytical skills to find opportunities to reduce transportation costs and improve delivery performance which can be implemented by the Transportation team.

We have built a strong team to help succeed with our transportation strategy. Reporting to the Director Transportation EMEAI and collaborating with our Transportation Specialists and Transport Finance and administration peers you can expect to find qualified colleagues to help succeeding our Team to improve transportation quality, service and sustainability and to reduce our supply chain costs.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Further develop data warehouse setup (Microsoft SQL) and data visualization (Microsoft Power BI)

  • Pro-actively look for opportunities to improve delivery performance, quality, sustainability and costs by analyzing transportation data

  • Set up automated weekly / monthly performance reports and financial / costs reports by e.g. pick up location / delivery location / carrier / country / customer level by using data warehouse and Power BI

  • Perform financial analysis for various initiatives and meetings

  • Support implementation of Freight audit in EMEAI sites

  • Support implementation projects and Kaizen events

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in field with 2+ years experience or Master’s degree in field with 0-2 years’ experience (Logistics / Engineering / Accounting / Mathematics / Economics or Business)

  • Ability to work with big data and to translate it into summarized results and next steps

  • Excellent in both MS Excel and MS Access

  • Experience to retrieve date from ERP system

  • Experience with visualization software. Experience with PowerBI a plus

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Data warehousing and SQL Server

  • Freight Audit platform

  • European transportation processes
