DevOps Manager is an integral position within the Hach IT team and Water Quality platform of Danaher. DevOps Manager will manage a fast-paced team, that works in a collaborative environment consisting of cross-functional team that drives growth and innovation within the Software and Cloud Computing competency. DevOps manager will closely work with different organization units of Hach and help the software development team deliver products that are less error-prone, highly scalable, fault tolerant and cloud native.

Responsible for planning, management and implementation of projects with high focus on results
Manage a highly skilled cross-functional geographically located (India, Europe and Americas) DevOps team
Provide disciplinary and technical leadership to the DevOps team
Should be responsible for the production environment of various different applications, developed by different operating companies part Water Quality Platform
Should advocate IT transformational projects
Responsible for finding bottlenecks in the current working and deployment process and drive that changes in the process
Responsible for resource and capacity planning
Responsible or create a backlog by gathering requirements from the Development teams and Product owners
The DevOps manager will build and develop strong relationship with product managers and R&D and supports creation of new technical offerings
Encourage the DevOps team to automate recurring tasks in the software lifecycle
Evaluate, consult and execute the migration of existing and new systems to the cloud
Will be point of contact for AWS and Azure Cost reduction or load management of different development and production environments
Manage the 24X7 on-call rotation within the DevOps team
Maintain and manage organizational and team KPIs

Proven experience as a technical leader within a large-scale enterprise company
Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
A minimum of 7 years of experience, including post-BS or MS academic experience, in an Software Development, Engineering or IT environment as a Software Developer, DevOps or in IT Operations.
3+ years of experience managing a geographically located team, preferably as software development manager, Operational manager or product manager
Understanding of DevOps culture and mindset
Good understanding of public Cloud - AWS and Azure
Familiarity with practices such as Agile, Kanban, continuous delivery, IaC, cloud & containers and can map the tools for the job to be done
Proficiency in Object oriented languages such as Python, .NET and scripting languages like Bash & Powershell
Experiencing using Windows and Linux Environments
Thorough understanding of the competitive landscape and emphasize on reducing the time to market of a product feature
Ability to manage multiple projects which are complex in nature and coordinate colleagues across diverse teams and locations
Ability to interact effectively with product owners, CTO, engineering/IT managers
Ability to travel up to 40%
Experience with Continuous Integration/Deployment using relevant market tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes and the Atlassian Suite.
Good understanding of web architecture, distributed systems and web APIs, such as REST
The salary range for this role is $130k-140kUSD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus, incentive pay.
