Danaher Corporation Director, Business Applications in Englewood, Colorado

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Global Business Applications group is seeking an energetic and experienced leader for the successful execution of commercial business application projects in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional environment. This role sits in the business and liaises with regional partners and IT in an effort to support the commercial organization (Sales, Sales Operations, Order Mgmt., Contracts, Customer Master Data, and Marketing).

This role will lead a diverse team (Salesforce admins and business applications analysts) leading efficient delivery of business-driven projects and day-to-day (operational and tactical) application portfolio. The individual will focus on representing business requirements and that technology-based business solutions are successfully enabled using SAP (OTC/SD), Salesforce (Sales Cloud & CPQ), UiPath, applications integration and other commercial applications.

This role will require a blend of leadership, business acumen, relationship management, business process understanding, project planning, project execution, and application maintenance skills and experience.

NOTE: This position can be remote from anywhere in the US.

Essential job responsibilities:

  • Execute the implementation of long and short-term strategic and operational plans supporting the regional business units and aligning with the organization’s priorities and business needs.

  • Provides inspired leadership and fosters a cohesive robust team culture that gets results through commitment, collaboration, continuous improvement, and standards across our commercial business applications.

  • Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.

  • Collaborate and partner with IT and cross-functional teams (OM, Sales, Contracts, Customer Master, Sales Operations, and Marketing) gain support, understands issues and collaborate on mitigation plans with short-term and long-term solutions.

  • Lead a team comprised of Salesforce admins and business applications analysts and drive daily operational and tactical needs as well as ongoing enhancements and projects using SAP (OTC/SD), Salesforce (Sales Cloud & CPQ), UiPath, applications integration and other commercial applications.

  • Drives alignment between IT and functional business leadership, manages strategic and tactical applications needs and requirements as defined by the business.

  • Support conflict management and issue resolution. Identify, track, and help resolve cross-portfolio dependencies and conflicts.

  • Independently develop clear and well-defined plans, driving strategy into actions and results. Identifies bottlenecks or delays in initiatives, defines solutions and drives efforts to ensure deliverables stay on schedule.

Minimum requirements:

Education and Experience (in years):

  • Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of experience OR Master’s/Doctoral degree with 12+ years of experience AND 4+ years managing people.

Knowledge and skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in managing and supporting SAP (OTC/SD), Salesforce (Sales Cloud & CPQ), UiPath, applications integration and other commercial applications.

  • 5+ experience is supporting commercial teams (Sales, Sales Operations, Master Data, Contracts, etc).

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate to people at all levels of the organization

  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills, self-motivated and ability to influence others to achieve successful outcomes with a high degree of adaptability, flexibility, creative decision-making, and technical problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a multicultural, multinational environment with ability to handle multiple projects with organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to effectively assess team capabilities to develop and build upon their strengths and development gaps. Ability to motivate, effectively delegate and coach team to create a positive and dynamic working atmosphere.

  • Ability to think strategically, deal with ambiguity, synthesize complex data and develop innovative solutions with an end-to-end mindset and Identify, track, and help resolve cross-portfolio dependencies and conflicts.

Preferred requirements:

  • Experience in RPA (UiPath)

  • Experience with GHX and EDI

  • Experience in eCommerce applications

  • Working experience in a Medical industry/ FDA regulated environment is a plus.

Physical requirements/abilities:

  • Ability to work in an office environment.

  • Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time
