Danaher Corporation Staff Electrical Engineer in Englewood, Colorado
Beckman Coulter Life Sciences seeks a highly motivated candidate to join its R&D team. We are seeking an Electrical Engineer in our Particle Characterization Research and Development (R&D) group with the following duties.
In this position you will be designing low noise analog circuitry as well as digital modules using microprocessors, microcontrollers, CPLD, FPGA and interfacing to digital and analog sensors. You will design and implement test rigs and software for design verification and functional tests of electronics modules. You will Identify risks and make recommendations for risk response strategies, (FMEA), including reliability test and measures. Create and maintain documentation of the specification and implementation of products. You will work with the development team on planning, executing and documenting test and verification of electronics modules You will also participate in technology development, process improvement and general housekeeping efforts as a member of the team. Participate in technical reviews, feasibility studies and project evaluations. Perform root cause investigations into failures and undesired system behaviors.
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years experience in product development and product engineering support role or
Experience designing prototype circuits, parts assembly, etc.
Fluent with use of bench top test equipment: oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, etc.
Demonstrated capability to troubleshoot and improve electrical designs and systems using formal problem solving methodology with analytical and statistical methods.
Masters Degree with 5+ years experience.
Have a keen sense of off-the-shelf part capabilities
Experience in dealing with design changes in a structured design control/change environment for medical devices.
