This is a fully remote position that will be dispatching from home. This technician may be located in the Greater Chicago area or Indianapolis, IN area. Several locations have been listed for marketing purposes but only one position is available.
This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance and installation of chemical storage. The Field Service Technician will transfer equipment and assist in delivering technical solutions focused on water treatment (municipal and industrial groundwater, wastewater, and drinking water). Join our team, and in a company-provided vehicle, drive to various sites to install, repair, service, and support USP equipment. Our equipment includes diaphragm pumps, centrifugal pumps, flow/level/pressure sensors, interlocks, valves, pipes, wired connections, and storage tanks.
This is one of our growing regions with customers located in about a 2-6 hour driving radius. Overnight stays at any of our approved hotels on average 3 weeks per month. This role will travel outside of the immediate region to cover and support the team! Most of the work is done Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. On special occasions, there may be a need for support on an evening or weekend. Training will occur over the first 90 days of employment and will include trips to our customer sites. The majority of training is on the job mentorship with more senior service technicians and sales team members on ride-a-longs.
High school graduate or equivalent required
Strong fluid transfer mechanical aptitude required i.e., pumps, plumbing, instrumentation.
Fluid transfer equipment technical maintenance training required (formal or on-the-job)
3-5 years proven ability in a field equipment maintenance support role, working responsibly in an independent role with proven customer service required
Driver's License and clean driving record required
Familiarity and understanding of electrical connections and troubleshooting required; Knowledge of PLC functionalities and connections a plus; Forklift license and/or experience a plus
