Position Objective

  • Provide commissioning activities according to the contracts requirements to satisfy Pall's customers with on time and on quality performance to satisfy the customers needs.

  • Responsible for independently performing testing, commissioning, and warranty service of Pall’s Filtration and Separation Systems. Will be assigned to multiple projects. Will act as “Lead” for Commissioning and Service providing technical advice and solutions to mechanical and electrical contractors.

Job Functions

  • Responsible for commissioning, testing and troubleshooting all systems hardware including mechanical, electrical and instrumentation.

  • Troubleshooting PLC and HMI software based on established design. Must lead the implementation of design modifications in agreement with the Project Engineering Team and Change Control procedures.

  • Responsible for the generation and implementation of written Commissioning Procedures, including Dry and Wet Test documentation and FAT/SAT/Acceptance test procedures.

  • Documenting system modifications and conveying modification details back to Project Engineering, through the accurate Change Control of documentation updates.

  • Responsible for “Red Lining” system design drawings and operation manuals and forwarding to the Project Engineering Team for updating to “as-built” status.

  • Responsible for training customer personnel in the proper operation of the Pall System. Must prepare training materials for various Pall Systems Technologies, including the provision of Standard Service Products relating to the specific technology

Minimum Qualifications

  • Relevant background in automatization

  • Relevant technical apprenticeship or craft equivalent

  • Cross trained in electrical / instrumentation / mechanical / process fields

  • Knowledge of filtration or similar process equipment

  • Knowledge in Siemens S7/TIA Portal

  • Well educated German and English language skills, preferred

  • A minimum of 5 years post qualification experience.

  • Site work experience including installation, start-up, faultfinding, supervision, acceptance testing.

  • Ability and willingness to work in a multinational and interdisciplinary team with a high degree on travelling, potentially on short notice (travel 70% - 80%)
