What you’ll do
The intern shall start with a literature and technology overview of exploring existing sensing techniques available for interfacing with biological cells
The mission will be completed by down selecting to few technologies, design a verification and validation plan, and execute the plan in the lab. Alternatively, it will be completed by the improvement and validation of one technology going through iterative improvement and testing
Hands on in the lab with cellular products for technology characterization
Data shall be compiled and experiments documented and presented
Optional integration through mechanical drawing and electrical schematic design.
Who you are
Master’s degree in or in final year Master studies in related scientific fields (Bioengineering – electrical engineering with Biological know-how, etc.)
Theoretical know-how in sensor technologies, cell engineering or biology
Lab experience in setting up experiments, connecting and manipulating sensors and performing hands on with bio-material
Good know-how on using Solidworks is a plus
Willingness to learn along the way
Team Player, Ownership, Detailed oriented
Comfortable in English, French is a plus
Duration and Deliverables
Project duration: 4 to 6 months
Starting date: as soon as possible
Deliverables: The candidate must define project specifications, realize the prototype or lab hands-on and related documentation including the final report, and at minimum an intermediate and final presentation in front of the R&D team
