What you’ll do
The Material Planner will be part of the supply chain department and will participate to all activities related to this department.
Manage materials planning, distribution, and allocation process, according to prioritization criteria defined by the business
Manage, prioritize purchases, coordinate with material buyers supporting.
Capacity planning, master scheduling
Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs (Inventory level, turns, backlog, priority orders)
Be agile with push and pull planning
Optimize inventory (MFG and DIST) and implement process improvements, using Lean and BI tools.
Manage item distribution setups to provide visibility of short/long term backlog (dates management)
Ensure you have a Plan For Every Part for all the range of items under your management
Focal point for prioritization process and escalation, cascading critical demands to production plan and aligning internal/external stakeholders
Works together with business leadership on projects of critical importance.
Support NPI’s projects but as well EOL’s – Close collaboration with R&D
Generate and provide forecasts to suppliers, be part of weekly reviews, or QBR’s
Work closely with sourcing on actions to improve supplier’s OTD as well reduce PPV’s
Invoices discrepancies resolution
Work closely with S&OP leader to align production planning with moving demands/exceptions
Aging material review and actions, obso management
Review, maintain, create, improve Work Instructions
Be an active member of our QMS, support deviations, CAPA’s, Change Controls, DCC
Be the representant of supply chain at the ECCB board
Daily management of 2 CMO’s supplying Devices, Spares and Medical Devices
Work closely with the Main Distribution Center and the Distribution Planner
Voice of Customer is your primary objective, OTD.
Learn and work every day with DBS tools
Be able to support basics of logistics whenever required
Travels may happen time to time for this role, especially to visit CMO’s
Support Transfer of Work and Strategic Projects
Who you are
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing OR Distribution planning).
Minimum of 5 additional years of experience in Materials Planning and Execution, Distribution or Supply Chain experience
Masters Degree preferred
8-10 years of proven experience in Materials Planning and Execution preferred
APICS Certification preferred
Oracle knowledge (EBS and ASCP) and experience preferred
Lean Manufacturing Experience preferred
Medical Devices experience, ISO13485 is a plus
Fluent in English, French is a plus
Somebody autonome, rigorous, natural leader
First or management experience may be a plus
