Position Overview

The DBS Site Leader is responsible for promoting and facilitating the successful implementation of the Danaher Business System (DBS) at Danaher companies, allowing those sites to meet their Policy Deployment (PD) and Key Performance Indicator targets. They will also develop and install standard methodologies across diverse business environments, while using tools & processes to lead people and projects. The Site Leader will handle the deployment and maintenance of DBS at Fajardo and may lead DBS at other sites within Pall Life Sciences.

Job Responsibilities

  • Establishes DBS & DMS strategies, decide priorities, project goals and assess results by working with plant leadership

  • Improves baseline performance relative to cost, quality, supply and responsiveness by delivering business results

  • Establishes and supervises an effective continuous improvement project list to ensure we deliver on our commitments

  • Identifies and eliminates process waste by continually driving a cultural shift in the organization

  • Responsible for the mentoring and coaching of associates in DBS processes. Develops and conducts training material. Provides technical support/direction to each project team and process owners

  • Ensures improvement team targets are consistently met or exceeded by using DBS principles and Lean Conversion methods and practices

  • Supervises daily workflow and workload distribution on improvement projects by conducting formal data collection and analysis

  • Align with QRS, ISO and all applicable regulations and company procedures

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration; Master’s Degree preferred

  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification, preferred

  • Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in operations and process improvements with Lean Manufacturing methodologies

  • Experience with Lean techniques such as Value Stream Mapping and 5S

  • Good financial understanding to understand, analyze and present business financial information

  • Strong oral and written communication skills (English and Spanish)

  • Experience analyzing problems and situations using Gemba

  • Experience with Strategic and Tactical Planning

  • Computer Literate (Microsoft Office, Project Management, Minitab)

  • Knowledge of Problem-Solving Process (PSP) DIVE

  • Knowledge/familiarity with quality analysis tools including; Design of Experiments (DOE), Pareto Analysis, run charts, scatter diagrams, regression analysis, SIPOC diagrams, etc.

  • Prior experience coaching/mentoring/leading
